Stephen Power, from Cardiff, a survivor of a serious motorbike accident has had pioneering surgery to reconstruct his face using a series of 3D printed parts. He is thought to be one of the first trauma patients in the world to have 3D printing used at every stage of the procedure. WOW!

Calling all budding engineers, techies snd designers! Now that we can 3D print in space, where on earth could benefit from having 3D printers? Submarines? Cruise liners? The dessert? Other inhospitable places that supplies are impossible to transport to (war zones?)
This is Martin. He formed It Is 3D to promote the 3D printing industry to young people in an authentic, genuine way. He agrees that there should be a 3D printer in every school. But Martin's call to arms is that there HAS to be the right infrastructure, accessories and proper training for teachers and students alike so that 3D printers don't lie in a cupboard gathering dust.
