The Cottage
The Cottage — The courtyard entertaining area comes straight off the house and blends seamlessly into the home's living zone as large doors recess away and invite you outside. We designed a sleek and compact BBQ area complete with wood store, herb garden and an espaliered lemon tree, leaving plenty of room for outdoor dining and entertaining.

Albert Park Residence by Wellard Architects - Albert Park, VIC, Australia - The Local Project
With a restricted palette and commitment to introducing natural light into the narrow bones of an existing Victorian terrace, Albert Park Residence sees Wellard Architects bring a sense of muted calm and openness into the home.

Boulder House
Boulder House — "Having outdoor spaces that work all year round is really important to us," says homeowner, Rebecca Wyer. This philosophy is reflected in the pergola, where a bamboo ceiling paired with a discreet Perspex screen filters sunlight while keeping rain at bay. The curved bamboo complements the linear timber, creating a sense of casual elegance and visual warmth. This is further enhanced by the intricate veins of the custom marble-topped table and the rich textures of the fireplace and flooring, tying the space together with understated sophistication.
Harbour View Garden — Vibrant colour, loose plantings and cylindrical pots add movement and curves to this striking modern home. Russelia equisetiformis cascades from the balcony, Lomandra ‘Tanika’ spills from metallic pots and Phoenix robellini rise toward the roofline.

The Cottage
The Cottage — This was a beautiful project to collaborate on. The rear garden is relatively compact but allowed for plenty of amenities. We focused on allowing enough space for soft landscaping and planting to ensure the area felt soft and generous, and not at all overbuilt. Featured species include Trachycarpus Palms, Crassula Arborescens Undulatifolia 'Ripple Jade' and Gardenias.
