Located just outside of the historical city of Winchester, Alresford is a pretty town with plenty to offer. Fort Nelson is a Victorian Fort set on Portsdown Hill, overlooking Portsmouth Harbour to the south and Meon Valley to the north. It is home to the Royal Armouries national collection of artillery - the Big Guns. This unique Victorian Fort has undergone a £3.5m redevelopment to create a museum fit for the 21st Centrury.
