Why to Visit Temples ? (Scientific Reason)

"Tanjore Brihadeeswarar Temple is also known as The Periya Koil or 'Big Temple'. Showcasing pure Dravidian architecture, the temple was built in the Chola capital of Tanjavur under the aegis of the Chola king Rajaraja Chola in 1010 A.D. Designed by Sama Varma, the architecture of Brihadeeswara temple is unique in that the temple casts no shadows on the ground at noon during any time of the year."

The White Gopuram or gate on the east of Srirangam Temple. It was here several hundred years ago that one of the temple dancing girls, or devidasis, enticed the general of the conquering muslim army to meet with her on the top of the tower. When he arrived, she pushed him off and, to avoid torture, she jumped too. The muslim army left shortly after, leaving the people of this holy location to continue with their regular lives of devotion and service to the temple deity, Sri Ranganathaswamy.

The beauty of the temples seems that can not be understood without the inner strength of those who built them. Best if you can see the black background. Thanks for your support and kindness. Have a good evening! Tanjore Brihadiswara
