Although this is only one page, I was drawn to the overlap of text. I think using half of the picture as the texture for the text is creative and eye-catching. They could have easily made the words, "Yes He Did" in bold black and it would have looked good, but this meshes the words and the article with the man.

I like how the letter and face fade from one another giving a representation of the face and the letter being a part of one another. This idea of a face coming from a letter does seem a bit time consuming, but I do believe it's just some great photo blending. I think this would look great for an index or even a student section. It would be a bit difficult to do this with letters which don't have round edges, but I do think this would work with any image.
