Every day, millions of people around the world use Pinterest to find inspiration. Last October, we launched the Pinterest iOS 14 widget, giving users the chance to get a daily dose of inspiration right from one of their favorite boards on their home screen. Now, users can also choose from interests to get fresh content served to them daily. From the fiercest beauty looks to inspirational quotes, discover a whole range of new ideas without even opening the app. This simple guide will show you how.

How to download the iOS 14 widget

To add the Pinterest widget to your home screen, press and hold anywhere on your iPhone until the apps start to wiggle. If you’ve updated your phone to iOS 14, you should see a “+” icon appear in the top left corner. Click it and an option to search for widgets should appear. Type “Pinterest” into the search bar and the app should appear. Click the icon and then select the “Add widget” option at the bottom of the screen. Your new widget will automatically appear on your home screen.

How to add your interests to the iOS 14 widget

Now that you have the widget on your home screen, it’s time to customize it to your liking. To start, click and hold on the widget until a drop down menu appears. The first option should be “Edit Widget”. Click there, then you’ll be directed to an overview screen that will allow you to customize how your widget looks. You can choose from a selection of hand-curated Interests that are updated regularly, ensuring you’re always fed a fresh stream of inspiration. Choose from home decor, men’s or women’s fashion, food, beauty or quotes. Once you’ve chosen the Interest you’d like to display, you can choose for Pins to alternate hourly or daily depending on your preference. Once you’ve selected your settings, simply click out of the widget and your new widget will automatically display the Pins from your favorite Pinterest Interest.
