Vegan - Nama, Notting Hill. Expensive. All raw, minutes from Portobello Road. Very good reviews.

Inspiral Lounge, Camden. Great view over the canal. Polenta sausages, scrambled tofu. Excellent vegan mayo & tomato sauces. If you’d prefer a sweet option, the raw flax and chia seed (which I now know is pronounced with a hard C) crepe with cashew cream, raw chocolate and fresh fruit is also delicious.

Flesh & Buns - £46 for cocktail on arrival, unlimited chips, dips and starters, a signature "flesh & bun", unlimited Prosecco & dessert

Vegan Brunch - The Gallery Café. This welcoming café in Bethnal Green is relaxed and a bit rough round the edges in a good way. The ‘signature’ – sourdough toast with tofu scramble, spinach and garlic mushrooms – is the one to order, but if it's sold out (as it regularly does) the ‘lighter breakfast’ does a similar job – swap spinach for tomatoes. Brunch is served until 3pm weekends.
