A master of this craft was said to be able to raise storms, make distant ships sink, swords blunt, and decide the outcome of battles. There is an old folktale that Magpies contain a drop of blood from the devil hidden under their tongues. It was said that if you cut the tongue of a Magpie to let out this drop then it would be capable of human speech. A master of this craft was said to be able to raise storms, make distant ships sink, swords blunt, and decide the outcome of battles.
