The National Piping Centre

Occupying an elegantly refurbished church building, The National Piping Centre serves as a centre of excellence for the Great Highland Bagpipe and its music. Built in 1872 by the architects Douglas & Sellers, the Old Cowcaddens Church is an Italianate church, with a decidedly Tuscan tower, and a mixture of Greek elements with a simple pedimented facade onto what is now Cowcaddens Road.

Its #worldbookday...whats your favourite tune book?
Have you see our blue room windows up in the first floor? They were commissioned when our building was redeveloped, and each window tells the story of a different piobaireachd, the classical music of the bagpipes. We love the way they glow! #windows #bagpipes #glasgow #glasgowvenue
Its #backtothefuture day! And we wondered what Marty McFly would have seen if he was here in the 80's and then today...we think it would have been a bit like this!!
