Laundry tips: Dry your laundry outside ☀️

Dry your laundry outside, in a clean place under the sun, whenever possible. The outdoor alternative to the tumble dryer is not just a good way to save energy: the sun is a 'natural sanitiser' that disinfects, so if you dry your clothes under the sun, they will smell cleaner and fresher. Sunlight can also make white fabrics whiter. Some stains (like tomato sauce or poo) are photo-labile and degrade in the presence of UV light. Stains that sometimes remain after washing will disappear like magic!

🤔 How to get lime deposits off of clay pots. Lime deposits appear on clay pots from water or soil residue. They look chalky white. They do not harm the plants but don't look very nice! 💡To remove them safely, use citric acid. Citic acid is a viable alternative to limescale remover. 💪 Soak your pot in a container with water and one/two tbsp of citric acid. Leave for 24/48 hours. If needed, scrub the deposit with a wire brush. 💦 Rinse with running water and leave outside to dry.
