Archaeology Digging Tool

A couple of years back I wanted a tool to dig out the bottom of post holes on a Iron Age settlement site I was working on here in Yorkshire. So one weekend I made one these. Ever since I recieved requests for this blacksmith made digging tool. Longer, thicker, and narrrower than your normal trowl. I can even tuen the end to 90° and put a poon on it for you! Hand forged Damascus steel knife

This is one of my barley-corn twiwted handle Damascus steel knives. These are hand forged made-to-order on our Etsy store (link below) or are sometimes in stock on our website theanvilandyew.com/shop. They feature a minimum of 320 steel layers using 1095 and 15n20 steel grades. Each knife is unique and no two are exactly the same. The billets I forge the knives from are intially made with a power hammer to create excellent quality welds.

Hand Forged Pattern Welded Damascus Kitchen Knife

A custom pattern welded knife for a friend. Resin handle with bronze rivets. The Damascus is first made by welding under heat with a 25kg power hammer. Then the larger billets are cut down and earmarked for different projects. This knife is finished by hand forging and has 320 layers of steel. Request one on my website or Etsy.
