ORION Conic Canopies
From an uninspiring courtyard to a vibrant engaging outdoor space, our recent project for The Oxford Academy creates a versatile area for students to use all year-round, right outside the main dining hall. Along with two ORION Conic Canopies, the Streetspace team installed over 440m2 of new surfacing, removing old paving and soft landscape areas, replacing with new tarmac and resin bound aggregate. We especially love the Ocean Blue tensile membrane that matches the Academy colours!

Streetspace are proud to have delivered a stunning courtyard redevelopment for Thomas Aveling School with four bespoke tensile canopies, including vertical infill panelling, providing comprehensive cover to the area.

Iconic and functional! Very proud to have worked with Park Hood and main contractor McAleer & Rushe delivering this stunning amphitheatre canopy for the Onyx Student Accommodation, Lancaster Circus, Birmingham.

Playground Canopy
We helped Plumstead Manor School transform an underutilised playground area into valuable all-weather space for breaks and lunch times, complete with a snack shack unit. The Streetspace TRITON canopy with its multiwall polycarbonate roof system is a versatile design, with column spacing and layout that can be configured to allow for external building features or below ground services while maintaining the structural design integrity.

ORION barrel vault canopy
Fantastic shot of Harris Invictus Academy’s new ORION barrel vault canopy in the evening sun! The 225m2 structure with its 15m clear span is a great example of the unobtrusive design form of tensile membrane setting off the magnificent Cedar of Lebanon tree in the background!

This TRITION Canopy at the Colchester County High School For Girls, covers a massive 320m2. The steel frame, polycarbonate roof structure helps with distancing requirements.

School social space canopy
To help Whalley Range High School in Manchester provide additional dining, break out and social space, we installed two new canopies providing over 280m2 of cover. The new canopies and associated hard surfacing are located within school courtyards with the only access for plant, materials and the canopy structures being by a 150t mobile crane!

Playground canopy
The three ORION Star fabric canopies we manufactured and installed at St Clere’s School for Darwin Group Ltd were specified with a colour scheme to compliment the new school buildings. Anthracite Grey powder coated steel work matches the building doors, window frames and rainwater systems, while the green, orange and red waterproof PVC fabric membranes provide a striking colour contrast.

Playground shelters
The teaching shelters provide space where groups of students can learn out in the fresh air, as well as being available as covered social space during break times.

Steel Frame Canopy
We’ve just completed this TRITON Steel Frame Canopy at Meridian High School in Croydon, London. The polycarbonate long-life roofing system has a high-performance UV absorption layer, that will protect students against harmful UV rays!

ORION Hypar Tensile Fabric Canopies
ORION Hypar Tensile Fabric Canopies create iconic exterior design features at New Rickstones Academy in Witham, while providing shelter for its concrete outdoor seating areas. The braced fabric structures enable a foundation design to accommodate the extensive underground services in the area.
