1980s "Mica" royal purple dress is made from slubby raw silk, fully lined. Due to the nature of the fabric, surface is expected to be inconsistent and textured. Green and gold paisley band with multi colored mirror accents. Bottom band is navy blue. Center back zipper closure. Made in the USA by Mica. 100% silk shell with 100% acetate lining. Dry clean only. Striking 1960s paisley dress with cowl neckline! Such great colors, which give a great overall effect. It is shaped into the waist. Closes with metal zipper center back. No brand label present, but there is a union label. Fabric is wool with a backing for comfort and to prevent it from clinging to tights as shown in last photo. This gorgeous vintage '60s sleeveless knee length sheath dress from historic clothing line Mode o'Day features a bold pink and purple floral print set against a lovely blue. There are three buttons on each shoulder. Pull on closure. Union made. RN 21673. Styled in California. Mode o'Day, known for its hip, trendy pieces, was founded in the '30s and remained super popular with young women until the late '70s. Measures 18 inches underarm to underarm, 27 1/2 inches underarm to bottom hem. There isn't a size tag, but it fits like a modern U.S. Women's Small. Minor condition note (last photo) - there is a bit of loose stitching under the right underarm - it's an easy fix for someone who sews. Otherwise, the dress is in excellent pre-owned condition.
