2018 (Emulsion + Marker Pen) . . Sticking with sports stars.. this commission gave me so much to work with in terms of details to play around with! It was a phase of working much more with the body too than I had been previously. I struggled initially getting the balance between detail for the face and body, but found I really enjoyed bringing in more detail for the right painting! With piercing eyes and a stoic gaze, Noel captures the enigmatic cool of iconic musician Noel Gallagher through Selevos’s early, unmistakable style.
