Deanna Durbin

Dec 4, 1921-April 20, 2013-The most perfect soprano singer (in my opinion). Appeared in many glorious Hollywood movies. At one point, was the highest paid actress in Hollywood. Her films supposedly saved Universal from bankruptcy. Not fond of the Hollywood system or the public persona that was created she ceased making films. She lived with her husband and 2 children in France. Over the years she was still in demand by Mario Lanza, Bing Crosby and many more. All of whom she declined.
