Piper + Julia 🌿 DIY + Furniture Flip Tips on Instagram: "Beginner friendly furniture update! ⬇️⬇️ (Follow + comment “DARK” for links) 🖤 If you want to give your wooden furniture a dark refresh, this gel stain has been a game changer! 🖤 We simply cleaned these vintage nightstands and scuff sanded before applying two thin layers of Java stain. Once cured we buffed on some Tung oil to rejuvenate and seal the wood. You can also use a varnish or any other oil based top coat! 🎨🧑‍🎨 #furniturerestoration #toolfree #easyflip #easydiy #simplediy #furniturestain #furnitureflip #fliptips"

a chandelier hanging from the ceiling in a living room next to a window
Alexandra Levy on Instagram: "You won’t believe what I did to these glass chandelier crystals and it only took alcohol ink and heat! Comment “shop” for products used and check out the caption below for step-by-step instructions!🥰 I found this affordable chandelier and used alcohol ink to completely transform the glass crystals to match the aesthetic of the living room in our new home!✨🤎 Here’s how I did it: • Apply alcohol ink (color of choice) with a sponge • Place crystals in a cool oven • Preheat to 350°F with the crystals inside (so they warm up gradually) • Once it hits temp, turn the oven off • Let them sit inside for 30 minutes • Then allow them to cool in the oven for 20 minutes before removing This slow heating and cooling process helps prevent cracking and sets the co

a woman standing in front of a tv with the words $ 10, 000 without sanding
molly harris | diy furniture flips on Instagram: "Would you believe me if I said I didn’t have to sand those drawer fronts or barely any of this massive dresser 👀 I was determined NOT to sand all those details, but I knew I wanted a natural look. I tried out a few methods on this piece, all worked fine but in the end what worked best was scrubbing it with acetone and watching the finish fall off 🤌🏻 The tan wash I used was a 1:1 ratio of ‘turbo tan’ by Valspar and water. Aging wax is by Magnolia Home. Comment ‘acetone’ and I’ll send you instructions on how to use this method + a link to the hardware. #furnitureflip #furnituremakeover #dresserflip #dressermakeover"

A: I prefer a 1:10 ratio for most pieces (1 part paint to 10 parts water) Q: What pai

Erica • DIY• Furniture Flips • Easy Tips on Instagram: "If you want to neutralize red tones in wood, you just need to apply a green paint wash. This will neutralize all unwanted red undertones and allow you to have a light wood to work with.

Once the green paint wash is dry, you can apply a beige or tan wash.

If you'd like to get the full process, along with a list of supplies and helpful links, just comment "GREEN" and I'll send them your way! Just a heads up: if you get a blank message, double-check that you're following me or the message might have been marked as spam. Thanks!

a living room with wood floors and white walls
Kate | Home DIY & Design on Instagram: "Comment "link" below and I'll send you the products we used 🤗 6 month update! It has been 6 months since we added this moulding to our living room/dining room and I still think it's one of the highest impact, easiest DIY's we've ever done!! Also, some people asked the first time around how well the adhesive holds up and I'm pleased to report it looks exactly the same as the day we added it. There is zero peeling from the walls, no cracks or gaps, etc. 10/10 for me! Love this DIY 🤗 Drop a comment if you'd like a link to the kits we used! #diyproject #livingroomdecor #diyhomeimprovement #moulding"
