In the Cowshed we balanced clean contemporary lines with the historic fabric of the building. Exposed steel beams marry with original architectural detail to create a striking open plan living and entertaining space with two cosy and elegant bedrooms tucked high in the roof trusses – a perfect haven for weekend guests and the go-to for parties.

We designed a light and simple interiors making the most of the original architecture and celebrating the volume of the barns. In the downstairs living space of the Threshing Barn, a stone floor and exposed brick walls are the backdrop to the fresh green and white colour scheme. In the bedrooms grasscloth on the walls and ceilings create a cosy enveloping atmosphere and are a nod to the building’s heritage.
