The perfect blend of old and new - respecting the architecture that came before and creating something different for the end user to come. Rust red meets slate gray. Geometric meets organic. Brick meets steel. Thin glass meets thick.
Old is new again - "New, freshly planned, pristine and perfect are great attributes for new structures , yet we also find ourselves drawn to things that aren’t so flawless. Recycled, repurposed, previously loved, salvaged. Buildings that have a previous life carry a character that brand-new ones just cannot master."
This is a great redesign of an existing structure complimented with new elements. I happen to enjoy this cold industrial interior. Füleky Winery - Építész Stúdió Tokaj, Hungary - Building of the Year 2011 photographed by Gyula Erhardt
