At the end of June I finally got the time to post my final report of the Blog On Tour in the USA. It was from San Francisco with  pics of cable cars, buses, trolleybuses and historic streetcars.

On the 29th June I posted that two enthusiast events were being held over the coming weekend. Firstly there was the annual Vintage Transport Weekend at the North Norfolk Railway with many preserved buses and coaches taking part.  Finally, there was the East Coast Pirates Car Club's annual Mega Meet to be held on the the town's Marine Parade close to the Britannia Pier

On 29th June I posted that another Great Yarmouth stalwart, Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL 32211, had been stood down from service. LT52WTU was expected to follow similar former Caister Road deckers in their onward transfer to the South West

The 28th June also saw another liveried bus on the town's service 8, between Caister's Marram Drive and the James Paget Hospital. Recently it had seen the use of yellow and pink liveried deckers and that afternoon a purple one was to be seen on the route!

The 28th June witnessed a couple of vehicle swaps taking place which saw Lowestoft based Enviro 200 45118 ST09JPT go on loan to Ipswich Depot as cover for their Enviro fleet whilst Ipswich Volvo B7RLE 66850 MX05CHD moved in the opposite direction to the Suffolk Coast.

The 28th June witnessed a couple of vehicle swaps taking place which saw Lowestoft based Enviro 200 45118 ST09JPT go on loan to Ipswich Depot as cover for their Enviro fleet whilst Ipswich Volvo B7RLE 66850 MX05CHD moved in the opposite direction to the Suffolk Coast.

Back from the USA, I prepared a belated Service Alterations Registered for 22nd June. They included amendments by Anglianbus, Konect and Sanders. Fred Agombar, operator of the Olde Norwich Tour, was requested to attend a Public Inquiry at the offices of the Traffic Commissioners

I was continuing to report from the USA on the 23rd with a photo of our tour bus. 'What a week has gone by; new operator(s) for the Great Yarmouth - Beccles- Bungay service, an open topper for the Great Yarmouth seafront route, streetdecks operating in the town plus new transfers in. However back in the US unfortunately one of our passengers was taken ill with a suspected heart attack'

On the 21st June Grahame had the unenviable task of writing a tribute to his friend Jim Long. He wrote: 'It is with great sadness and shock we are reporting the sudden passing of Jim Long. Jim was a regular contributor to our blog and has been a truly good friend to myself for the past twelve years or so.  Our Thoughts, Prayers and Love are with Jim's wife Eve and his family.
