Its not very often I ban words or phrases from my classroom...HOWEVER: “Sir, I’ve finished!” BANNED! “Sir, here is my first attempt, how can I improve?” A NEW ALTERNATIVE! To often can students rush through work and lay back with the sense they have finished. This initiative has help especially KS3 to move on, to stretch and challenge themselves, persevere with their work, to settle for no less than their very best!

Y11 Homework league table - Students have responded fantastically well and always keen to see their new position. Pupils willing to improve their answers to get out of the dreaded relegation zone. Later in the year I will introduce a cup competition with students choose at random, competing against each other. Purple - Champions, Green - Champions league places Light Pink- Europea league Orange - Relegation!!!
