The Holy Island of Lindisfarne Community Development Trust The Old Lifeboat House built in 1884 between 1909 & 1925 it housed the lifeboat "Lizzie Porter" it is the only lifeboat house of the 5 stations built on the island between 1839 - 1968. A total of 119 rescues were made from the island and 345 lives saved.

Polpeor Cove
Polpeor Cove, Cornwall, the most southerly point on mainland Britain. The cove is dominated by the Old Lizard Lifeboat Station. The sand is dark grey & coarse & the beach is unsuitable for swimming.
