Refreshing Morning Protein Smoothie (paleo) 1/8 pineapple 1 passion fruit 1 scoop egg white protein* 1/4-1/2 cup coconut milk ice Now that I got back into running, I also add a dose of magnesium and zinc powders into my smoothies in an attempt to ward off my terrible bouts of exercise migraines - which by the way seems to be working great so far. As far as protein at brekky goes, I’ve noticed that egg white protein powder seems to keep hunger away most effectively until lunch time. Also, it definitely has the most pleasant taste. Speaking of different types of protein powder: I made the mistake of trying out a very expensive ‘premium’ rice protein when I couldn’t find my usual egg white protein - which resulted in days and days of unbearable stomach cramps, swelling up like I was 6 months pregnant and utter discomfort. Not recommended.
