The setting of the Fallen Earth probably doesn't quite justify this sort of Star Wars-style mini shuttle. But there's no reason you can't set your games in a galaxy far, far away! The explorable interior would be a challenging spot to have to reach an objective.
It seems odd to think of a miniature as "terrain", but Zero Dark uses a lot of objective markers to tell the tabletop narrative, and civilian characters like this are perfect objectives.

This lovely little mini could be an up-armed hero, but I see him more as a Red Force Heavy, appearing where you least expect him to interfere with your plans!

Space Marines make great heroes, and the new Eliminators have the "special forces inflitrator" look down perfectly such that you could really believe they could be making those cautious moves to get close to an enemy and "eliminate" them before they can sound the alarm.
Although she could easily be a Red Force Sniper, I think this Grunt would be a better hero. I think she really captures the look in my head of what AV1 means, too.
Although it's milpunk in nature, there's no getting away from the fact that the setting for Zero Dark is post-apocalyptic - bad things happen to Earth! Some of its survivors oppose the "rescue" missions from Venus and Mars and they are by far the most varied bunch in the game. Earth at the time is highly advanced, technologically, despite the cataclysm, so its native heroes can afford to dress like it's the end of the world and *still* get good WiFi.

Although it would make a good hero, too, I think the skull-like mask and pose makes this mini perfect as a Red Force Sniper.
If ever a mini screamed "Red Force Sniper", this was it. You could run him as a hero, but that baggy mask and sinister stance says bad guy to me.

20mm isn't a scale that gets much love in scifi, but these new designs from Khurasan are $11.99 for seven minis, which is pretty good value and the design is lovely. This sort of faceless, hard SF, milpunk style is perfect for Grunts or Elites in the Red Force.
