Flashes in the forest Oil on Canvas, 30" square. Here's a piece I started in 2016. It's been languishing unfinished in the studio and I gave a hard stare from time to time! I finally completed it a few weeks ago. It really belongs to an earlier series called 'Forest' and it's inspired by the forest I love so much at the seafrontin Le Touquet. I love the sudden flashes of colour that fizz and spring out there - a bright leaf, a bird, a trick of the light.

Floating Leaves II Another new piece for 2017 inspired by an autumn walk at Westonbirt arboretum . This is still drying - I really enjoyed slapping on the oil paint!!

Floating Leaves Oil on canvas 20" square. This was nspired by a long country walk last autumn. I love using tone and colour to convey a sense of things floating. The autumn leaves were a perfect source for this theme.
