Place value die... a cube for tens and ones. Can easily be extended for larger numbers... hundreds etc

My y5 group enjoyed drawing these - I've used them successfully to do the above activity, but also multiplication/division inverse. It's also lovely to write 10 or 20 on the roof and write all the number bonds inside the house part.

Challenge display in my class. Over the week coloured lolly sticks are placed in different areas. When children complete a challenge/task they put a stick in their pot of gold.

Great trick for teaching how to make 10. Students use a highlighter to find the "10" and then circle the other number with a crayon. Brilliant!
