Patterns and sequences can be difficult for 4th graders, so these exit tickets are a great way to check where each student is in their understanding quickly and easily! This pack contains 15 exit tickets for patterns and sequences for 4th grade. They cover the following standards: 4.OA.3 and 4.OA.5. Print these exit tickets on colored paper if possible. I pass them out at the end of math class and students turn them in to me. I quickly grade them and use them to place kids into math groups for review for the next day. They also help me know where the misunderstanding is for each student who answers incorrectly. There is a page of blank exit tickets. I often have students create their own exit tickets for the class to try! The mini-grids can be used for students to keep track of their own progress through the exit tickets. They are OPTIONAL! Depending on the make-up of my class, I don’t always use them.
