An attractive Louis XIV style Carrara marble fireplace. The panelled frieze with good carving of flowers and foliage, with ribbons and quiver below initialed centre circular plaque. The jambs with scrolls and leaf decoration, surmounted by carved stiff acanthus leaves to end blockings. Shaped shelf above. Mid 19th century, Napolean III period. (Photo prior to full restoration.)
