Brass Umbrella Stand

The whimsical shape and rich materials of this umbrella stand are typical of Carl Auböck II’s work for the family homewares firm. The 1955 design balances polished brass on a solid, hand-lacquered zinc base, and is still made today at the Vienna atelier using antique moulds.
