On the northwestern side of Jordon Pond, the Jordan Pond Loop Trail traverses a delicate lakeside habitat upon a rough-hewn boardwalk. It was sturdy and well maintained, and a refreshing change from the rocky, overgrown, and sparsely-blazed trail (really just a mountainside runoff) that I used to descend Penobscot. 2011-09-02_08.45.41_ME-AcadiaNP
