Neil Poulton >> 1989 designed the "Aging Pens" (aka the 'Penna Mutante,' The Mutant Pen-- but couldn't find a photo!). These pens were made from a living, wearing plastic, which 'ages as layers of colour wear away through use.' [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Poulton]
A clock that slows down your perception of time The Greeks had two words for time: “chronos” meaning exact time, and “kairos”, human time. Thinking our world is based far too much on chronos, Wout Wolf Stroucken explores the richness of kairos with his clock, O. Instead of numbers and hands, time is conveyed through colour, which emanates from the centre of the circle like the rings of a tree. Tapping into our growing need to slow down and savour the moment, the clock is entrancing to watch.
Confession Machine | Liat Segal - The Confession Machine prints online texts that fade away as time passes, just like the confession itself. The machine prints on a surface painted with an ultra violate sensitive pigment. While passing over the surface, it turns on and off 16 UV LEDs. The intimate and revealing printed texts are taken from social networks, showing the lightness of confessions via online channels nowadays.
