- Cream Puffs - Filling: 8 oz cream cheese Instant Vanilla Pudding (large box) 1c heavy cream 1.5c milk Mix cc in bowl w/ mixer until smooth+creamy. Add vp+milk & mix on low until incorp. Then mix on med until thick. Donut: 1c H20 1c butter 2c flour 5 eggs Medium heat, melt butter in H20. Bring to boil + remove from heat. Quickly whip in flour w/ a wooden spoon. Add 1 egg @ a time. Drop by cookie scoop onto parch paper Bake: 350 - 30 min. Cool, fill, & dust w/ powder sugar.
One really delicious and really unhealthy Sunday coffee cake. I have no idea where I got this recipe from but it was about thirty years ago and has been a family favorite since. The bake time is a bit longer if you're using frozen berries.
