In honor of Joan of Arc's birthday, January 6, 1412. She began seeing visions at 13, believing that Saints Michael, Catherine, & Margaret were urging her to defend France against the English. Joan cut off her hair, posing as a boy and led France's troops to victory. Later, she was captured, put on trial for heresy, found guilty in part because of forged documents and burned at the stake.

Proverbs 31 is about Ruth. A wonderful story; An unwelcomed woman in Jerusalem and follower of Naomi (then later God the Father) works to selflessly serve her mother-in-law after the death of her husband. Her reputation makes her less of "Moabite trash" and Boaz leaves his estate to honor her and her late usband. She is rewarded by God for her grace and sacrifice. Read Ruth, then Proverbs 31.
