Blue velvet latchet tie shoes, c 1660, reputedly worn by Lady Mary Stanhope to court of Charles II. From The Shoe Collection,Northampton Museums & Art Gallery. (I know these are 17th c shoes, not 18th c, but they're just so lovely I had to include them!)
