Western Meadow Lark- MT. State bird. Meadow Lark. Meadowlark birds or Meadowlarks are birds belonging to the genus Sturnella in the New World family Icteridae. This genus includes seven species of largely insectivorous grassland birds. In all species the male at least has a black or brown back and extensively red or yellow underparts.
Great Kiskadee(Pitangus sulphuratus). The Great Kiskadee is a large and strikingly colored flycatcher that inhabits lower Texas, much of Central and South America. It has a black crown with a yellow coronal patch and a broad white supercilium that extends from its forehead to its nape. The kiskadee's olive-brown wings are set off by cinnamon wing coverts and bright yellow underparts. Great Kiskadees reside in a variety of habitats from forest edges to grasslands to busy residential areas.
