Kheruef was steward of Queen Tiy, the wife of Amenhotep III, and played an important role during festivals. His (unfinished) tomb (TT 192) can be found in the Asasif Necropolis on the Westbank at Luxor. It is one of the socalled "Tombs of the Nobles".
