Built between 1898 and 1930 as a sanatorium for lung diseases, Beelitz-Heilstätten was one of the largest hospitals in and around Berlin. It served as a field hospital in the two world wars and was later the Soviets' major military hospital in East Germany. Abandoned in 1994 with the Russian withdrawal, most buildings have slowly fallen into ruins since.

Removed old conservatory and re built a new extension. To create large open plan kitchen and dining area. 2 x Sets of bi-fold doors onto decked area with skylights and vaulted ceiling. We imported the handleless kitchen from Germany.

Zermatt, Switzerland. Zermatt is surrounded by a range of mountains, among which the highest of Switzerland: Monte Rosa, but it is famous for the Matterhorn. It was one of the last alpine mountains to be conquered (in 1865), and the first expedition that reached the top ended dramatically (only 3 of the 7 climbers survived).
