"Dancing" figure:  1. Wooden base board & pole up to the neck.  2.Either chicken wire loosely shaped into chest & legs with plastic pipes for the arms - or a duct tape dummy (see other pins on this board) so the figure isn't rigid.  3.  Get a portable shi-at-zu massager and rip the cover off, jam a plastic pipe between the 2    nubs that move.  It should be enough for the pipe, and your figure to move.  The jerky movement would be perfect for a hanging prisoner, monster,  -3 Cogs Entertain

Home-made 7ft Death figure.  1.) Garden canes & plastic pipes from Wicks/B&Q to make a triangle base for strength.  2.) Chicken wire chest, to make him look real.  3.) Mask on a garden cane for a neck, stuffed with carrier bags for shape.  4.) a double duvet cover draped around his body, hangs realistically on the chest and flows around the bottom, we attached him onto a wooden plinth base for security. Use another sheet for over the head.
