Fishers, IN - Conner Prairie, a living-history park, seamlessly blends traditional storytelling techniques (costumed townspeople in character) and new ideas (video screens where doors and windows should be) to share how people responded when Confederates raided their homes and businesses in July 1863.
The Slippery Noodle Inn is a large blues bar and restaurant with two performance stages in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. It also has the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating bar in the state of Indiana, having opened in 1850 as the Tremont House.The Inn served as a stop on the Underground Railroad during the American Civil War.
Conner-Homestead--this is the only building in this area that we were able to explore. I really need to go back up there and do the entire tour. This is the home of the gentleman that Conner Prairie Farm is named after. The floor in the living area of the house is the actual floor that was originally put in the house, which means it is 190 years old and still looks great.
