Shadow Blade (iOS) • ★★★★☆ • A fun little platformer for iOS. I like the character a lot, he can double jump and wall climb and all sorts of stuff. The beginning levels are pretty easy, but as time goes on things get more and more difficult. Mostly just a really fun, good platformer if you're into that kinda stuff.
Lost Cubes (iOS) • ★★★☆☆ • A fun little puzzler that I downloaded on a whim and enjoyed immensely. The puzzles were usually a good level of challenging; though the time aspect of it was occasionally annoying, especially given that the controls weren't all that great. I gave up on trying to get three stars on all the levels after the 9x9 world, and thus couldn't open the last world without paying, which was sort of annoying, but the gameplay up till then was fun.
League of Evil 2 (iOS) • ★★★★☆ • Really great platforming. The speed run aspects of it are ridiculously fun, and getting the briefcase from every level can make it super challenging. Just really well done, difficult and fun. The levels are a perfect size, mostly bite size and perfect because they're so difficult.
Oscura: Second Shadow (iOS) • ★★★☆☆ • beautiful platformer, pretty quick, but some fun levels. Nothing too hard or exploratory, there's a bit more focus on speed than I remember in the first game in this one but that probably makes sense.
Caveboy Escape (iOS) • ★★★★☆ • I downloaded this game somewhat on a whim, without any recommendation, and then expected it to be terrible. Instead, I played through all the levels and then spent way too much time in survival mode. It's calming, almost. The goal is to get the caveboy through each level, but you can only pass through tiles in groups of three of the same color. The time pressure makes a not *TOO* challenging puzzle fun.
Treasure Tower Sprint (iOS) • ★★★☆☆ • a simple game where you've got to run around a level and collect all the gold coins before you exit. To do so, you must evade or defeat enemies and slowly build up your characters strengths over time. Fun, bite sized levels, though I played through it in a few sittings. The last tower is hard, but never so hard it's frustrating.
Rock Runners (iOS) • ★★★★★ • If you like runners as much as I do, this is a nice little runner. Lots of levels, challenging, nice 3-star leveling system. In some places things can be precise, other levels are easier, but it's a good mix.
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (iOS) • ★★★★★ • beautiful graphics for iOS. The controls can be weird in places but are mostly fine. The level design is amazing and I particularly like the more speed oriented levels. The boss fights are pretty simple once you figure them out, but still fun. The way the game switches between 2d and 3d that's pretty interesting and well done. Also who doesn't love Mickey Mouse?!
Trouserheart (iOS) • ★★★☆☆ • A fun little humorous game where a guy goes to retrieve his pants. Pretty graphics, fun story line. But I'm not sure if it felt a bit... Stunted or something in the actual gameplay.
