This unusual animal from the Ituri rainforest of Africa looks like it is kin to a zebra, but it is actually a relative of the giraffe. The Okapi has a prehensile tongue like the giraffe for stripping leaves from the underbrush, has great hearing, and is very wary of humans.
The okapi (Okapia johnstoni) is an unusual animal living in high altitudes in the rain forests of Congo, in central Africa. With white-and-black stripes on its legs, it was first thought to be some kind of a rainforest zebra or a forest-dwelling horse. However, okapi is not related to a zebra but guess what… it is the only living relative of the giraffe!
Glass frog:The glass frog can grow to inches and can lay up to 30 eggs. Their nocturnal and lay their eggs on the under side of leaves that hang over streams or rivers. When the eggs hatch the tadpoles fall into the stream below.
