Grapevine Vintage Railroad #2248, a 4-6-0 "Atlantic" type locomotive constructed by the Cooke Locomotive Works in 1896.  Originally numbered Southern Pacific 1829, it was renumbered 2248 in 1901.  Assigned to fire train service, it was leased to the Pacific Fruit Express from 1945-1949.  Retired in 1961, it was sold for scrap but luckily saved, being sold to other railroads before a rebuild in 2001. The Princess Marie Luise of Prussia (1829-1901). She was a daughter of The Prince Carl and his wife, The Princess Maria Luise of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. She was the wife (1854-1861) of Sovereign Landgrave Alexis of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld. She had no children.

"A Jersey Lily" Mrs. Lillie Langtry by Millais (a fellow Jersey native) painted in 1878, months after she had begun an affair with Albert Edward (the married Prince of Wales). Their affair lasted until June 1880. The Prince once complained, "I've spent enough on you to build a battleship", whereupon she replied, "And you've spent enough in me to float one".
