Loetz vase by Josef Hoffmann, ca.1911. This design represents some of Hoffmann's most important workmanship: Cylindrical form done in apple green overlaid with an opaque ebony design. The top portion is etched in silhouette of climbing vines, bearing bell flowers, berries and leaves, set apart by vertical bars. The lower portion has an arrangement of diamond configurations that alternate with elliptical forms. H: 10 1/8" Wiener Werkstatte
