The brainchild of Japanese artist and designer Hidemi Mishida, Fragile Shelter explores the relationship of humans with nature and with each other. It is a simple timber and plastic structure, devoid of furniture—an extemporaneous gathering place, located deep in the winter woods in Sapporo, Japan.
The Swing Pavilion: Lombok International Bamboo Architectural Festival. Highly expressive bamboo pavilion that use traditional bamboo craftsmanship as a construction method. Its geometry is based on the “Enneper Surface”, a double-curved surface that originates in the fields of algebraic geometry.
