Explore Shutter Time, Beautiful and more!

Shutter Speed: A Beginner's Guide... I've always believed that in photography, you should avoid getting bogged down in the technical side of your hobby, and focus on developing your creative talent. However, there are certain technical elements that are essential to getting a good photo - shutter speed is one of them

Jack Long uses extremely fast shutter speeds to freeze-frame liquids in motion

Photographing Water Drops - going to try this more often...... using my Canon 1100D ...... on a fast shutter speed..... unlike blurring which requires very slow shutter speeds!

If you glow down to the woods today... the moment fireflies turn woods into an enchanted forest

Resting the camera on the dashboard of the car to keep it relatively stable would be a good approach. Then it's just the car's movement and the cars outside that will create the blur and not camera shake. This will have to be experimental as far as shutter speeds and exposure are concerned. Obviously night time would work best if I am going to record light streaks. The camera pointing at back seat and kids with blur outside?

The still subjects within the image are sharp, however the water is blurred, portraying the motion of movement. This is done a slow shutter speed and large aperture.
