Cards and Guest Book - the card box was an antique looking box picked up at a garage sale. Paper straws with a birchbark design were cut and glued to the inside lid of the box spelling "CARDS". Very quick and easy, and looked fantastic. In lieu of a guest book we had wood cookies for guests to sign and suggest an item for our adventure bucket list.
Instead of table numbers, guests were assigned table critters. Each critter was wood-burned into a tree slice (provided by the lumberjack team at Paul Smiths College). The woodland critters were also stamped onto name-tags attached to wine glasses on the tables. A seating map was provided. I did learn after the fact that is put someone with a phobia of frogs at the frog table!
