Today the site of the Donald Cemetery is partly over-grown with trees. Pink markers are visible and some recent effort has been made to clear the vegetation. Flowers mark some grave sites. Several graves are delineated by wood fenced enclosures.
Grave site enclosure, Donald Cemetery. The enclosure is fairly well preserved, but there are two wooden grave markers which are now illegible leaning against it. Several small pink survey flags are visible in this photograph.
Holyrood (means "Holy Cross") Abbey in Scotland. Reportedly, Robert the Bruce held parliament here. Multiple invading armies damaged the Abbey, which was finally plundered during the Scottish Reformation in 1559. I know it was important to make the point of rejecting wrongful worship, but, couldn't the just put a padlock on the door?
