Possibly the greatest of all ‪#‎NOLA‬ pianists, Tony Jackson, was born on this day in 1876. He is said to be the unrivaled king of the Storyville 'Piano Professors' and a musical genius. He worked the bordello's of Storyville until 1904, primarily at Gipsy Shaefer's, Hilma Burt's, Lulu White's and Countess Willie Piazza's. He returned to New Orleans in 1911 and worked at Early's. Jackson composed hundreds of popular songs and typically sold them for $5 to $10. http://nola.tw/3
