Anzac Day et al - Canberra Memorial in Australia, re the Commonwealth day of observance Remembrance Day. For those outside of the Commonwealth nations, the poppies signify the fields in Flanders in Belgium in which they flower dominantly grew and many of the allied forces were buried during and after WW1.
