sometimes people say things like "You do such a good job with your daughter. I could never do that." Or worse, "God knew to give you an autistic child instead of me. I have no patients." My response is always the same "You could and you would if you had no choice."
I have done a lot of volunteer work and advocating for children with Autism and over all of these years have acquired quite a collection of pictures to show my support and what I hope your support will be for Autism Awareness.
*Something more people need to understand* I'm sick of people staring and giving dirty looks at a disabled person just because they are different. And I'm sick of people who are rude when I try to educate them about why that person is different. I just don't want other families to feel the way that I did when I saw you giving weird looks at someone I love.
