Distaff blade made for bridal gift. Flower of Life and six petal rosette motif came from Western Europe via Sweden to the costal Finland. Decoration was meant for good luck and fortune. Finland, 1700 - 1800 AD.
The carousel of the saints riding on the cupola of the underground church of St. Paul. Among them are Sergius and Bacchus. These were produced by the monastery monks in 1713, but probably overlay earlier iconography that is lost to us.
